Derek Erdman (born December 6, 1978) is an artist living in Seattle, Washington. Erdman is known primarily for his vibrantly colored paintings, his phone-prank CD ''Kathy McGinty'',〔http://www.chicagoreader.com/pdf/050819/050819_ot_highjinks.pdf〕 his portrayal of Rap Master Maurice, and his website. His work has appeared in the ''Chicago Reader'' newspaper, ''Roctober'' magazine, and on the cover of the acclaimed 2006 novel ''Lullabies for Little Criminals.'' In 2010, Erdman contributed to MTV's music website〔http://blog.mtvmusic.com/2010/04/06/derek-erdman-red-hot-chili-peppers/〕 and became a regular contributor to Seattle's the ''Stranger.'' ==Rap Master Maurice== Rap Master Maurice is a character portrayed by artist Derek Erdman known for its revenge raps. The revenge rap concept is as follows: if you have an incident or a problem with another person, you can pay Rap Master Maurice seventeen dollars, and he will write a rap about your issue.
